Team ASV begins the competition with zero points on day one. While sailing quite well, the two first races were tighly lost against much better teams. At the third race it was team ASV being the higher ranked team, which was clearly showed on water, when the team dominated the start and builded steadily a bigger gap. The shock came just before the finishing line, when the umpires signaled disqualification for both teams. Both boats were starting too early and did not realise the recall signals. Frustrated after the first day, the second day went much better with two victories against similarly ranked teams. There was still a small chance for reaching the next round, but the opponents left were too strong.
